Gusto kong...

Another Ondoy?!

The PAGASA had announced yesterday that there were two low pressure area that were starting to build up. But this morning they had declared that these had turned into typhoons. It was expected to hit the area of Philippines responisbility tomorrow afternoon or thursday, october 1. It was very alarming because we're not even half to recovery and yet another calamity was threatening to come.We just need to pray that this would not pursue and that it would totally vanished. Ondoy had already left our country but it was rummaging the country of Vietnam. It had claimed 44 lives there. I hope and pray that this would be over soon.

Ondoy post 2

The casualties declared by the National Disaster Coordinating Council had reached 200 plus. There were still people missing. The streets in Marikina, Pasig, Antipolo, and majority of Rizal provinces had looked like a ghost towns. Houses were destroyed, dead bodies of domestic animals were left floating, dead bodies were recovered, mud had totally covered the places. But aside from these municipalities there were other cities that were fatally affected by the storm. A lot of our kababayan had lost their homes, properties, love ones..their dreams. Pains and sufferings were vividly drawn into their eyes. I could not simply describe the situation that our country had been facing right now.
Volunteers coming from different walks of life had started to go out from their homes. They tried to exhaust all possible means to help our fellow pinoys. Everybody was trying to reach out and produce all the help they could give. Me and my family had started to gather decent and clean clothes. My sister had collected some of her clothes and decided to give it to some of her officemates. We could all help with our own means. Start within your community. The National Government, unfortunately, could not cover the whole affected areas so better act now. Do what you can do. You dont need to go to other places to help just look within your communities. Start from there.

Typhoon ONdoy

A typhoon had devastated our country. The storm had been felt for two days now and it continued to leave marks of deaths in the whole streets of metro manila as well as those of the 25 provinces that were affected. We were all shocked as to what had happened especially in the urban area. Floods had rummaged areas that were usually not affected by heavy rains for the past years. But definitely it was different this time. Everybody was affected and there was no exemption. It was very sad to see babies and kids dying on streets. There was this one hospital in rizal that was flooded. They had to evacuate the patients to the second floor of the building. All their equipments were washed by muds. Medical personnel were so helpless because as much as they wanted to give medical services they could not do so because all of their medicines and equipments were non-functional already. A huge amount of employee were also trapped within their offices. I had friends who stayed and slept in their offices because all the streets and roads were not passable. All vehicles were abondoned on the streets and they were left floating. The state of calamity had been declared to these provinces including metro manila.
The whole country was in great grief right now because Ondoy had claimed not only properties but also lives of some of our fellow Filipino. But fortunately Filipinos had this great sense of damayan specially at times of trials. Donations in all forms were freely floating coming from all the different sectors. Volunteers were coming in the front line and had willingly offered their services. Both GMA and ABSCBN had continued to generate as much resources as they could get in order to sustain or at least provide the immediate needs of our kababayan. The National Government was also doing their job to rescue our kababayan and to bring them into safer places. But this was not enough. We could not simply disregard this scenario and be stubborn about it. There was so much to do. Giving donations in different forms were just the initial step. Materila things were not the sole needs of our kababayan. We also need to help them to start all over. They had lost their homes, livelihood, and worst their love ones. We could help in our own little way. You could start with your own communities.
I had lots of friends that were deeply affected by the typhoon. But fortunately they were able to survive. (Praise God!) At times like this we could only turn to God and asked for His help. Prayers were very powerful. He would never abondoned us.

Jobhunt,jobhunt,jobhunt...

Im a fresh graduate from UST and it was very challenging to find a job that would suit me. Among my blockmates, im one of those who unfortunately still on the list of unemployed in our country. I don't understand myself but most of the time im lazy when it comes to jobhunting though i have tried to some of the companies. Only a few of them had considered my application. I was aiming to this specific company and im still hoping that they would give me a chance. My application in their office had been running for almost four months now. They do reply but it took them some time. I had my interview for two teams already and i took their examination. All these were done in four months.I also had my final interview with their US counterpart last two weeks ago and im still praying for that. =) Patience is a virtue.
I took an examination with my friends, bien and jamie, in a research firm a while ago. It took us three hours to complete the exam and we all failed. We were just laughing on our way home. Anyway, we were still hoping that one day that dream job would come to us.

Ben Harper

I was listening to Ben Harper last night and his music really made me contemplate. There was this song that i can't get over with. It went like this..

Oh no
Here comes that sun again
That means another day
Without you my friend

And it hurts me
To look into the mirror at myself
And it hurts even more
To have to be with somebody else
And it's so hard to do
And so easy to say
But sometimes
Sometimes you just have to walk away
Walk away

With so many people
To love in my life
Why do i worry
About one

But you put the happy
In my ness
You put the good times
Into my fun
And it's so hard to do
And so easy to say
But sometimes
Sometimes you just have to walk away
Walk away
And head for the door

We've tried the goodbye
So many days
We walk in the same direction
So that we could never stray
They say if you love somebody
Than you have got to set them free
But i would rather be locked to you
Than live in this pain and misery

They say time will
Make all this go away
But it's time that has taken my tomorrows
And turned them into yesterdays
And once again that rising sun
Is dropping on down
And once again you my friend
Are nowhere to be found
And it's so hard to do
And so easy to say
But sometimes
Sometimes you just have to walk away
Walk away
And head for the door
You just walk away
Walk away

This song was entitled "walk away."=)

Biyahera!

One of my dreams in life is to be able to travel to different places. I promised myself that one day i would travel the whole Philippines. =) But I think I have to secure the budget first =) Papalitan ko na si Drew Arellano sa programang "Balikbayan" (Hindi ako sigurado kung ito yung title ng programa hehehe) I imagined myself taking pictures , at the same time, learning about the culture of those beautiful places. Sabi nga nila "huwag maging dayuhan sa sariling bayan".
I encountered this article about the new seven wonders of the world. The pictures in the article really made my eyes roll. Gusto ko talagang mapuntahan lahat yun lol! Kaya lang mas malaking budget ang kailangan hahaha! These are the new seven wonders of the world: Great wall of China, Petra of Jordan, Christ the Redeemer in Brazil, Chichen Itza of Mexico, Roman Colesseum, Taj Mahal of India and Great Pyramid.

P.S. Kung mangangarap lang din eh isagad na natin hehehe =)

The pictures below are the places that are on top of my list =) (Akala mo naman mapupuntahan agad lahat eh)

St. Peter's Basilica
Dream ni Tatay (my lolo) to go here. He's such a religious person. I wish we could go there together. But i know he's happy right now with our Lord. (Miss you tatay! )
Christ the Redeemer of Brazil
This statue is a very important symbol of Christianity in Brazil.
The Golden Gate Bridge
Sarap siguro mag roadtrip dito lol! =)
The Grand Canyon
Sarap siguro mag picnic dito lol! (Panu ko kaya gagawin yun?!)
Aurora Borealis a.k.a The Northern lights
Kailangan ko muna masanay sa extreme coldness before i get to see this phenomenon =)
The Taj Mahal
Love is so powerful. Ito lang po ang masasabi ko =)
I read a very inspiring line from the book "All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarden" by Robert Fulghum. The line went like this "..if the dream is held close at hand and imagination is applied to what there is close at hand, everything is still possible." Well then i held on to this dream... to someday travel the whole world naks! =) hehehe. But what im thankful for is the people around me who are ready to join me on this journey called life. The most exciting trip we could ever have. =)
